Manchester United may be set to roll back the clock when it comes to bringing in players this winter.

The Red Devils are set to turn to a Louis van Gaal transfer target in the form of Thomas Muller.

The Bayern Munich veteran, now at the tail end of his career, could be available in January.

Per The Athletic, Muller is one of many players United are assessing to solve their striker issue.

The 34-year-old could be available for a modest fee, if he wants regular football at United.

Another option for the Red Devils would be RB Leipzig's wantaway star Timo Werner.
