Manchester United great Ryan Giggs is willing to take the Salford City manager's job.

Giggs has been out of work since leaving the Wales job but is taking an active interest in the League Two club he part-owns, says The Sun.

Giggs would be willing to step if results do not improve under manager Neil Wood.

The League Two side sit 19th in the fourth tier after two wins, one draw and five defeats from their opening eight games.

Salford reached the promotion playoffs last season.
