Manchester City have reportedly sent scouts to monitor Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Graeme Bailey has reported for 90min.com that the European champions were one of a host of clubs who sent scouts to see the Georgian winger in action. According to Bailey’s report City had scouts in attendance for Georgia’s recent 3-1 defeat to Spain.

Esteemed Kompany host Steven Mcinerney reacts to the recent reports in the video below. As well as Manchester City monitoring the Georgian winger Bailey reports of three other Premier League sides scouting the winger. Newcastle, Chelsea and Newcastle United also had scouts present to watch Kvaratskhelia Bailey adds.

The Napoli winger has become one of the most dynamic widemen in European football. Playing primarily on the left wing he has become a star for Napoli. He was a key part of the Napoli side that won last season’s Scudetto with ease. During his time with Napoli, he has made 58 appearances scoring 17 goals and contributing 22 assists.

As a player, Kvaratskhelia excels in 1 v 1 situations out wide on the left. The Georgian international thrives in those situations where he is a threat to shoot or provide opportunities for his teammates. His goal-scoring record and the assists he registers highlight this fact. Kvaratskhelia is an all-action winger and a constant threat to opposing defenders.

While clubs have an interest in the Georgian international, Napoli are determined to keep their star man. Also included in Graeme Bailey’s report is the fact that Napoli is determined to keep Kvaratskhelia. Their president Aurelio De Laurentiis told the media when asked about the winger’s future: “Do you want to stop it? He already signed for five years last summer.”
