Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot is a player who seems to stick to the Manchester United gossip columns like glue every summer.

This isn’t even the first time we’ve been linked with signing the France international on a free transfer agreement.

But the latest from Corriere Torino (H/t Sport Witness) claims Manchester United are one of the favourites to sign Rabiot on a Bosman this summer. The agents (looking for our money) are trying to rope us back in.

It was believed that United had agreed on a transfer fee with Juventus back in the summer of 2022 for Rabiot, though a never materialised due to a disagreement over personal terms.

United won’t be surprised that his agents want to talk again, all of a sudden, two years later.

The report in question suggests United are ‘above all’ in the pursuit of the Frenchman whose contract expires on June 30. Meanwhile, United could face competition from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

People will argue that the 2022 World Cup finalist still has a lot to offer in the game, and could be just looking for his big Premier League move, but his wage demands could be another huge factor.

United need to stop overpaying stars who are past it. Old Trafford is not a retirement home.
