Manchester United are looking to sign a number of players this summer but will also be seeing a number of players depart. From first team players, to fringe players as well as some players who have barely played a game for the club recently.

Erik Ten Hag is looking to rebuild the team again this summer and is prepared to allow players to leave the club - something that has rarely happened in recent years. From sales down to letting players leave at the end of their contracts.

This summer in particular could be one of United's biggest in recent years with new owners also possibly being in place. Some players who are coming to the end of their contracts will be released - including two defenders.

Manchester Evening News correspondent Samuel Luckhurst has stated that Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones will both be released. Jones has been at the club for well over a decade but has rarely featured recently.

He played two games under Ralf Rangnick but was never seen again after those performances. Tuanzebe has had a number of loan spells but has rarely featured for United senior level in the past years.

Tuanzebe will not be short of offers due to his impressive loan spell in the past at Aston Villa. The Englishman will likely find a club this summer.
