Manchester United are now said to be in advanced talks with Diogo Dalot over a new deal at the club. The news comes following reports that Dalot's future at Old Trafford was uncertain - this clears up any doubts that were made.

Fabrizio Romano has been speaking about United over the last few days and has provided a number of updates including information about new signings. Now, the Italian journalist has spoken about Dalot's future.

Despite interest in the right back from the likes of Barcelona and AC Milan, the Portuguese international looks set to stay at the club. Talks are advancing regarding a new deal for the player who is admired by Erik Ten Hag.

Romano spoke about the player as well as his new contract. The very reliable journalist broke the exclusive on his social media, he said; "Manchester United are advancing in talks to extend Diogo Dalot’s contract. Club plan remains to keep Dalot and get new long term deal done.

There’s confidence to reach agreement soon."
