Serbia midfielder Sasa Lukic appears to be attracting lots of interest following his performances at the World Cup and now it has been reported that Manchester United have joined Leeds United in the race to sign the Torino star.

According to Torino Granata (H/t Sport Witness), no offers have been tabled for the Serbia international thus far, but talks are expected to take place after the World Cup. They also expect Leeds United to face competition from rivals Manchester United — as well as Serie A giants AS Roma.

The report states that Lukic’s situation remained to be defined, which is likely due to the fact he is focused on the World Cup right now.

Serbia go into their final group game two points behind second-placed Switzerland and must win to have a chance to reach the last 16. They’ve never reached the knockout phase of a World Cup, so it would be some achievement for Dragan Stojkovic’s side.

With a €13 million valuation, as per Transfermarkt, Lukic could be a cheap option for Erik ten Hag to consider — at a time all of our rivals seem to be chasing Borussia Dortmund and England ace Jude Bellingham.

Lukic can play as a holding, central or attacking midfielder, so he could be a good utility option for Ten Hag if Donny van de Beek leaves the club in the near future.

Serbia take on Switzerland in the FA Cup tonight at 7pm.
