Manchester United Predicted Lineup vs Luton Town

How Manchester United Have Lined Up Recently

Manchester United have settled upon a reasonably stable 4-2-3-1 formation of late, with André Onana in goal, followed by Diogo Dalot, Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw making up the backline. Lisandro Martinez was set to be a starting centre-back before his injury in the 3-0 win over West Ham on February 4.

In midfield, Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo have never lost a game they have started together and are now the mainstays in that position. Alejandro Garnacho has started all recent matches on the right wing, with Bruno Fernandes in the attacking midfield position and Marcus Rashford on the left.

Rasmus Hojlund has been ever-present as the lone striker.

Manchester United Recent Form and Tactics

Manchester United’s recent form has been excellent, with the return of crucial players such as Luke Shaw and Casemiro providing stability and a defensive platform to win games. The Red Devils are unbeaten in the last six games in all competitions, five of which have been wins.

With the excellent Kobbie Mainoo delivering consistency in midfield, there is much more fluidity about Erik Ten Hag’s men in recent weeks, showcased by the form of Alejandro Garnacho (two goals in the last five games), Marcus Rashford (three in five) and Rasmus Hojlund (four goals and two assists in five games).

Manchester United Injuries to Consider

Luke Shaw will be assessed before the game after being substituted at half-time of the last Premier League game at Aston Villa. Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, Lisandro Martinez and Anthony Martial are all out.
