Manchester United centre-back Victor Lindelof has been attracting interest from Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan.

The Sweden international has struggled for game time this season, managing just four Premier League starts from a total of six appearances. He’s played nine matches if you include cup competitions.

There is no denying that Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are the preferred options at centre-back, and United have also been linked with Inter Milan defender Stefan De Vrij.

While Lindelof has been linked with moves to Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims Manchester United have turned down offers from both clubs in January.

Romano tweeted: “Manchester United have decided not to accept any loan or permanent deal bid for Victor Lindelof. He’s staying, Ten Hag counts on him.

“Inter approached United for Lindelof in the last few days – Atletico Madrid has also asked for him weeks ago.”

United know that they are running out of time to find a replacements for players, so I don’t think Ten Hag or the club will entertain any offers unless they are offered serious money in exchange.

The 28-year-old has been with United since 2017, when he arrived from Benfica.

Lindelof has gone on to make 210 appearances for United.
