Manchester United and Adidas have unveiled the club’s new home kit for the 2024/25 season.

The 2024/25, Manchester United home kit is inspired by a shirt worn by the Busby Babes in 1952, and it consists of reflective materials for enhanced visibility on the pitch. With games being played under floodlights in the past, the glow effect of the reflective materials proved vital.

Meanwhile, the shirt features light to dark red gradient and it also features a seasonal crewneck. Adidas has incorporated cutting-edge technology while creating the lightweight jerseys as well.

The home kit features the HEAT.RDY technology which will enable maximum airflow to keep the players cool during matches, and the absorbent materials will also keep the body dry.

Sam Handy, SVP of Product and Design at Adidas, said to the club’s official website: “The colour red is consistently fundamental to the club’s DNA. There have been many different expressions of it over the years and, for 2024/25, we wanted to do something a bit different.

“We’ve drawn inspiration from a little-known shirt from the 1952 tour, which is a fantastic early example of creative design in matchwear and was worn by some of the club’s most legendary players.

“Its colour-shifting appearance was a big influence in this season’s modern expression of the home kit, designed to capture attention from all angles on pitch.”

The Manchester United home kit for the 2024/25 season is available in two versions – the players version and the fan version. Both are available to purchase online or in person from the mega store at Old Trafford and other selected Adidas retail stores.
