Ederson has withdrawn from the Brazil squad due to a foot injury he picked up against Chelsea. The injury occurred during the second half of the thrilling draw with Chelsea on Sunday. The severity of the injury isn’t known at this stage or if it will put City’s number one keeper in doubt for his side’s clash with Liverpool following the international break.

Mateo Kovacic has been withdrawn from the Croatian squad for their upcoming crucial European Championship qualifiers against Latvia and Armenia. The midfielder has picked up a muscle injury according to an update posted on the Croatian national team’s official X (Twitter) account.

City’s Dutch defender Nathan Ake was withdrawn by the Netherlands due to injury. The Dutch are scheduled to face off with Ireland and Gibraltar over the international break. Ake wasn’t in the City squad that travelled to London over the weekend.

Mateo Kovacic, Ederson and Nathan Ake join John Stones and Kevin De Bruyne on Manchester City’s injury list. With Pep Guardiola’s side not back in action until the 25th of November, the hope will be that the injuries aren’t serious enough for the trio to miss the clash with Liverpool.
