Mateo Retegui is delighted with his move to Genoa.

The Italy striker has joined the Serie A returnees from Boca Juniors.

He said at his presentation: I am happy, I've joined a big team with a great coach. Diego Milito told me Genoa are an amazing club with outstanding fans.

I had other options, but the coach and the club convinced me to come here. I decided for my family and me."

Asked about his chat with Genoa coach Alberto Gilardino, Retegui also said: He spoke about football, he is a great coach and he was an excellent player for the national team.

It's an honour to be coached by him and play in Serie A. I hope I can learn a lot from him and the rest of the team.

I thank Roberto Mancini, who had great words for me, I hope I can learn a lot. I am fit now as I played my last game for Tigre on Thursday."
