Nicolo Zaniolo is willing to make a concession on his salary in order to try and push through a move to AC Milan, a report claims.

According to what was reported by Claudio Raimondi of SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Zaniolo wants to join Milan so much so that he would be willing to maintain the same salary he gets now with Roma – that is approximately €2m net per season – to push the move through.

For context, he was asking Roma for around €3.5m net per year during negotiations for a potential renewal with Roma, and the significance is that the saving on salary could allow Milan to slightly raise their bid to Roma.

However, the Giallorossi remain firm on their position which is that they are asking for an obligation to buy as part of any loan deal which would be triggered on his first appearance and not on qualifying for the Champions League as per Milan’s proposal.
