Cristhian Mosquera has been recently attached to Inter, but their crosstown rivals Milan are keeping an eye on him too ahead of a prospective summer pursuit. The Rossoneri have been plagued by injuries at the position this campaign and will probably bid farewell to Simon Kjaer.

Per Spanish publication COPE (via OneFootball), the Italian side already probed the defender while negotiating for Yunus Musah. However, Los Murcielagos didn’t want to part ways with him at the time.

Despite the interest from Inter and Milan, Valencia are in the driver’s seat to decide what to do with Mosquera since he recently extended his contract until 2026. Therefore, it’ll take a sizeable offer to persuade them. Atletico Madrid are also very keen.

The Rossoneri appear to have lost interest in Lloyd Kelly, who will be out of contract in June, due to his recent injury history. They are also tracking Wolfsburg’s Maxence Lacroix and Brest’s Lilian Brassier. They tried to sign Torino’s Alessandro Buongiorno in January and might try again.

Our Take on Milan and Mosquera

They wanted somebody ready and familiar with Serie A in the previous transfer market window, but their posture might change. If everybody stays healthy, they have the pieces to bring in a prospect that needs to be groomed, although Malick Thiaw and Pierre Kalulu aren’t necessarily finished products yet. It’s starting to look like they’ll cash in on one of their own and add a new option.
