Milan are on the verge of qualifying for the Supercoppa Italiana Final Four, even if they finish third in Serie A.

The new and expanded version of the tournament was experimented for the first time in 2024 in Saudi Arabia, with two semi-finals and a Final.

Rather than just the winners of the Coppa Italia and the Scudetto holders, the competition is now between the runners-up for both those trophies too.

Inter have already qualified for the 2024-25 edition thanks to the Serie A title, while Juventus have reached the Coppa Italia Final.

They will be joined by either Atalanta or Fiorentina, who play the other Coppa Italia semi-final this evening.

Milan on the verge

The Supercoppa Italiana will be completed by whoever finishes second in Serie A.

However, if Juventus beat Milan to second place, then they have already booked their participation as Coppa Italia finalists.

So unless Milan drop down to fourth in Serie A this season, they too will be in the Supercoppa Italiana Final Four.

Milan are currently second on 69 points, followed by Juventus on 64 and Bologna with 62.
