Milan have dropped a capsule collection, developed in collaboration with their star striker Rafael Leao who said the Rossoneri are ‘a second family’ to him.

Milan and Leao have unveiled a capsule collection which was officially launched on Tuesday afternoon through the club’s official website and social media platforms.

Milan statement

“AC Milan is pleased to unveil the exclusive ACM x RL10 capsule collection, developed in collaboration with their star player Rafael Leão,” the Rossoneri said.

“Known for his on-field prowess, distinctive smile, and unique style, Leão embodies the new generation of talents nurtured by AC Milan and now making their mark on the global stage. Specifically, with his strength, agility, speed, and personality, Leão has become an icon of international football, captivating Rossoneri fans worldwide with his performances wearing the number 10 jersey.

“Every day is a new wave, every day is a day of surfing” is the slogan featured throughout the collection, capturing the essence of Rafa’s iconic celebration and reflecting the world of surfing, waves, family, and streetwear style. The collection features details inspired by ocean waves and references to Leão’s goal celebrations on his social media channels, such as the phrase “We go” and the emoji of a surfer. With these details and overall concept, the collection allows fans to immerse themselves simultaneously in the world of AC Milan and in Leão’s personal realm, reflecting the innovative nature of the Club and the positive spirit of the Portuguese footballer.”

Leao drops hint on his Milan future

The Rossoneri star said: “AC Milan is like a second family to me, where I have had the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. In this environment, I have been able to develop many of my passions outside the field, from music to fashion. The ACM x RL10 line is another milestone in my growth, it speaks to the fans about me and represents me 100%. My goal is to tell my story and leave a mark on all the boys and girls who follow me, reminding them to always fight for their dreams.”

Leao signed a contract extension with Milan until June 2028 last summer. The deal includes a €175m clause but the Portuguese striker seems extremely happy at San Siro, as confirmed by his recent claims.

The club’s CEO, Giorgio Furlani, has also reiterated that the Rossoneri don’t want to sell Leao or any other star player in the summer for financial reasons.

Leao has 13 goals and 12 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions this season. The Portuguese star joined the Rossoneri from Lille in a €35m deal plus €5m add-ons and Tiago Djalo who has now joined Milan’s rivals Juventus.

Leao has netted 56 times in 203 matches with the Rossoneri.
