Andrea Pinamonti won’t stay at Sassuolo following the relegation, and his agents have already started getting busy finding him a new team and have reached out to Milan. The Rossoneri are in the hunt for new strikers as Olivier Giroud will join Los Angeles FC and Luka Jovic isn’t certain to stay, Tuttomercatoweb relayed.

The marksman bagged 11 goals this campaign despite his team’s struggles, improving his numbers compared to the previous one. His wages are high for a minnow, €2.4M, and not many teams can afford them.

Milan and other potentially interested clubs will have to shell out roughly €10M to bag Pinamonti this summer. Sassuolo signed him permanently from Inter for €20M last year following a loan spell as part of the Davide Frattesi deal. He previously starred for Frosinone, Genoa, and Empoli. He had his most prolific campaign with the Tuscan Azzurri, totaling 13 goals and 2 assists in 36 Serie A appearances in 2021/2022.

The Rossoneri have been negotiating with Jovic in recent months. His contract is technically expiring, but they have an option to extend it for multiple years. However, they’d rather agree to a new one and lower his salary than pick it up.

Our Take on Milan and Pinamonti

He’s not exactly cheap, but they could do a lot worse as a backup no.9. Still, it might not be the right career move for him, as there’ll be a few second-tier sides in need of a starter this summer.
