After recently returning from injury, AC Milan may, again, be without Ismael Bennacer, as a report has claimed that he will be assessed on Wednesday if he can make the trip to Brittany.

Few players have struggled with injury more than Bennacer in the past 12 months. Firstly, his long-term injury kept him from playing for over 200 days, and since then, there have been a few concerns, but nothing as serious.

During the African Cup of Nations, he missed two of Algeria’s group-stage games through injury and was not immediately ready for Milan selection after returning.

Sky (via MilanNews) has reported that he may miss the second leg of the Rossoneri’s Europa League play-off clash against Stade Rennais. The midfielder was on the receiving end of a few challenges on Sunday, and Stefano Pioli and the medical staff will assess him on Wednesday if he can travel for the game.

At this point, it is not assumed to be anything major, but it does not bode well that there may be an issue with his availability shortly after his most recent absence.
