AC Milan are expected to be relatively busy in the last couple of weeks of the transfer market and not just with potential signings, a report claims.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Ricky Massara and Paolo Maldini are of course focusing on finding the right opportunity to bring in a quality centre-back under advantageous conditions, but they are also looking into offloading some players that are no longer considered part of the plans.

The future of Samu Castillejo is currently up in the air as the Spaniard is behind both Alexis Saelemaekers and Junior Messias in the hierarchy for the right wing, and a new opportunity has arisen for him to remain in Italy.

Today there will be a meeting between Sampdoria chief Faggiano and new head coach Marco Giampaolo to take stock of the market strategy that they will use, and it is expected that he will ask for Castillejo, who he has already coached in his time at Milan.

The idea is to try to test the waters with the Rossoneri for a possible loan from the former Villarreal winger, who is also liked by several LaLiga clubs such as Espanyol, Valencia and Getafe.
