The physical problem suffered by Milan midfielder Tommaso Pobega sadly seems to be a serious one, so much so that surgery is being evaluated.

As Calciomercato.com recall, the medical bulletin earlier in the week spoke of ‘damage involving the tendon component of the rectus femoris which inserts into the left hip’, defining the injury as worthy of a new check-up in a week and a specialist evaluation, in order to choose the most appropriate treatment.

It is decision which, according to the source, is moving towards being surgery rather than towards conservative therapy, which would have in any case meant a stop of around one month but now will obviously be more like months than weeks.

Now the management will have to evaluate what to do in the January transfer window, given that Rade Krunic is out of the plans and possibly leaving for Turkey, while Ismael Bennacer should depart for AFCON.

Pobega’s injury could stop the Bosnian’s exit or alternatively change the plans regarding the signings to make, with the strategy to be defined in the next 10 days.
