Theo Hernandez had some open-ended remarks about his future in a recent interview, but Milan fully plan to keep him and agree to a new contract. He penned an extension two years ago, and his deal runs until June 2026. The fullback makes €4.5M plus bonuses, Tuttomercatoweb informed.

Their brass was entirely different when the Frenchman put pen to paper. Ivan Gazidis, Paolo Maldini, and Frederic Massara were leading their front office at the time. The current one is on the same page, though.

Milan are set to meet with the agent of Theo Hernandez, Manuel Garcia Quilon, before the end of the season. They wish to add at least a couple of years to this contract and raise his wages. They hope the negotiation will go smoothly, even though he has a few suitors, starting with PSG.

The star spoke to AS over the weekend (via Sky).

“I think it’s the best moment of my career. This wonderful city immediately embraced me, and I’m totally devoted to it. I take it day by day and don’t look ahead too much. I’ve great friends and memories at Real Madrid, but I’m a Rossonero now, am very comfortable here, and don’t think about anything else. We don’t know what life could bring about.”

Our Take on Milan and Hernandez

A few players expect pay raises following Rafael Leao’s renewal, which might become an economic problem at some point, but he’s arguably the last one they should bail on.
