AC Milan’s Primavera side returned to winning ways in the league, beating Lazio 2-0 at the PUMA House of Football on Sunday morning.

The Primavera have been struggling a bit domestically recently and they suffered another defeat last weekend, losing 1-0 to Hellas Verona and extending the run to five games without a win in the league.

However, attention might have been on Wednesday’s UEFA Youth League quarter-final against Real Madrid at the PUMA House of Football, which they ended up winning on penalties to reach the final four again.

There was to be no European hangover today though, as the Rossoneri were dominant against Lazio and manage to get the two goals their performance deserved in the final third of the game.

The opener came in the 66th minute through Alexander Simmelhack, who had the simply task of firing in Bonomi’s cross into a virtually empty net from a few yards out after a dart to the byline and a cut-back.

Three minutes later it became 2-0, with Simmelhack this time turning provider. The striker first stole the ball from Zaza, then he fed Kevin Zeroli inside the box who from the penalty spot beats the Biancoceleste goalkeeper with his left foot.
