Talks over the renewals of Rafael Leao, Ismael Bennacer and Theo Hernandez have dominated the newspaper columns over the past few weeks, but there are discussions on with other players too.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Milan management are working hard to armour the project and they are pushing ahead to try secure the long-term future of several key players, including Theo Hernandez who is close to extending, plus Leão and Bennacer.

In recent days Paolo Maldini has reached a total agreement with Matteo Gabbia’s agent for the renewal of his contract until 2026, which is yet another sign of confidence for the Primavera graduate who stepped up admirable in the recent defensive crisis.

Cagliari are pushing to have him on loan until the end of the season, but they will only consider sending him out in the event of a new arrival in the winter transfer window.

Meanwhile, Milan’s idea is also to reward Pierre Kalulu for his growth in recent months. Initial contacts with the entourage of the French U21 international to extend his current deadline to 2026 have been made.
