Milan Skriniar is in his first season with Paris Saint-Germain. The 28-year-old is a regular starter for the French giants alongside Marquinhos. Furthermore, he’s transitioning to a new league.
For most of his career, the Slovakian defender has played in Serie A, and for the first few months, Skriniar has had a first look at the French league. As a result, he made comparisons between the two.
In an interview with PSG TV, Skriniar revealed what makes Ligue 1 different, as he’ll be playing in France for the foreseeable future after signing a five-year contract with the capital club as a free agent.
“In Ligue 1, there are many strong, fast, and physical players,” Skriniar told the outlet (h/t Paris Fans). “That’s the biggest difference, I think. It’s not like in Italy. It’s more tactical. Here, it’s more one-on-one, facing very strong players.
“So it’s not easy. When teams play PSG, she always plays like it’s the World Cup final. But we have to prepare for it because I think we have one of the best teams in the world.”
Furthermore, earlier this month, Skriniar spoke about his contentment with his decision to join the Parisians. The veteran was back in Milan as PSG faced AC Milan at San Siro. As a result, the Italian media asked about the decision to leave Inter Milan earlier this year.
