Inter defender Milan Skriniar is likely to start for the Nerazzurri in Sunday’s Serie A clash with AC Milan.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who report that there is a very good chance of the Slovakian being straight back in the lineup for the derby clash after missing the team’s past two matches in all competitions.

Skriniar was absent from Inter’s last league match against Cremonese due to a suspension, but his exclusion from the squad for yesterday’s Coppa Italia clash with Atalanta came amid the transfer soap opera that has emerged around him this month.

Accordingly, there has been some doubt as to whether the 27-year-old would be thrust straight back into the starting eleven for this weekend’s derby clash, and question marks about when Simone Inzaghi will decide to start the player again.

According to Mediaset, however, it looks very probable that the coach will put his trust in the former Sampdoria defender against the Rossoneri, in spite of the situation with his contract and intention of joining Paris Saint-Germain.
