Inter defender Milan Skriniar was hoping to leave to join Paris Saint-Germain last month, but the offer from the French champions was not high enough to convince the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who report that PSG never exceeded €10 million with the total value of an offer for the Slovakian.

Skriniar’s future is now clearly away from Inter after the dramatic end to contract negotiations with the Nerazzurri over the past couple weeks.

The former Sampdoria has made his decision and he wants to join PSG.

According to the Corriere della Sera, the defender had been hoping that, now that he has made his mind up, he could get the move immediately rather than waiting until the summer transfer window to join on a free transfer.

However, Inter wanted €20 million to let go of the 27-year-old this month, or at least €15 million plus add-ons.

According to the Corriere della Sera, PSG never made an offer higher than €7 million plus €3 million in add-ons, so the player remains at Inter.
