AC Milan are not likely to keep Barcelona Sergino Dest at the club beyond the end of his current loan spell, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), there is currently very little expectation at Milan that Dest will be a Rossoneri player by the start of the 2023/24 season.

The American full-back was signed on a season-long loan deal from the Spanish side but it seems he has not done enough to suggest Milan must pay to make the deal permanent.

That means he will head back to Barcelona and either be integrated into their team or moved on again.

Dest was given more game time than expected due to the injury to Davide Calabria but he does not seem to have grasped that opportunity.

His versatility has been of use to Milan and will continue to be for the rest of the season, but a permanent move is not on the cards.
