AC Milan can cross Randal Kolo Muani off their list of attacking targets as the striker has declared that he will stay at FC Nantes.

MilanNews recently reported that Milan have shifted their attention to 22-year-old Nantes forward Kolo Muani, who is admired because of his physicality (being 1.87m tall and good in aerial duels), his instinct as a centre-forward and also his ability to play on the right if needed.

Kolo Muani has 40 appearances, 10 goals and 9 assists for Nantes and just returned from the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo where he was with France, but they exited early after a disappointing group stage campaign.

Interviewed by the well-known French newspaper L’Equipe (via MilanLive), Kolo Muani took stock of his future, dismissing the market rumours linking him not only with a move to Milan but also to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 22-year-old clearly stated that he will remain at Nantes this summer, but did not give many clues as to whether he will sign a renewal.

“I know that I will spend next season with Nantes, as far as the renewal is concerned the Nantes President knows my family, he knows my agents. This speech is not in my thoughts right now, I am only interested in the field. I say that I haven’t left yet, and that I’m from Nantes for the moment, I don’t want to add anything else,” he said.
