AC Milan have been dealt numerous injury blows this season, but being without Fikayo Tomori for at least a month has got the wheels of the mercato turning.
MilanNews reports that Tomori is almost certain to miss the upcoming games against Juventus and Inter, and with Simon Kjaer out for the rest of the season it has reached the point where an intervention must be made, as Stefano Pioli has lost his starting pairing while Alessio Romagnoli remains out due to Covid-19.

The emergency Pioli finds himself working under is a litmus test for Elliott: if they are happy with just Champions League qualification, the squad will remain similar without any notable additions, but if trophies are a short-term target then it is time to spend.
