Lazio are close to reaching a total agreement for Real Madrid prospect Mario Gila, with only one final detail needing to be resolved.

The Biancocelesti have been in talks with the Spanish side for a few weeks now, keen to pick up the 21-year-old Spanish centre back. He impressed last season on loan for the Castilla squad and seems ready to make the jump to regular first team football now.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio are set to sign Mario Gila on a loan deal with a €5 million buy option attached. The only remaining detail now is an agreement on the future resale clause.

Real Madrid want this clause to be 50% but Lazio would prefer it to be 25%. Talks between the two clubs are ongoing and it’s hard to imagine this obstacle causing a breakdown in negotiations at this stage.

The Roman club are hoping to fully finalise the deal ahead of the upcoming pre-season training camp.
