AC Milan have already made a decision regarding the future of Luka Jovic and they will soon sit down to speak to his entourage, according to one journalist.

Jovic arrived at Milan on the final day of the summer transfer window on a free transfer from Fiorentina, though he only signed a contract until the end of the 2023-24 season which means a call will have to be made on whether to renew or not.

Speaking in his latest column for CaughtOffside, Matteo Moretto provided the latest updates regarding the future of the Serbia international.

“I can confirm that Milan wants to renew Luka Jovic and Jovic wants to continue at Milan. The parties will soon sit down to reach an agreement on the renewal, during that meeting they will make the numbers work,” he said.

Jovic scored again today in the 3-3 draw against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium, and it was one which brought the game back to 3-2 thus setting up the dramatic finish.

The ball was worked wide to Leao who tried a cross with the outside of his boot that Consigli could only push into the path of Jovic, with the former Real Madrid striker firing into a virtually empty net first time.
