Lazio forward Vedat Muriqi has reportedly told Fenerbahce coach Vitor Pereira that he wants to leave the club.

As reported by Turkish newspaper Takvim (via La Lazio Siamo Noi ) earlier today, the 27-year-old Kosovan forward is unhappy in Rome and his lacklustre start to the season under coach Maurizio Sarri has convinced him to push for a return to Turkey.

Lazio Coach Sarri Has an Impressive Record Against Inter Coach Inzaghi

Muriqi has only scored one goal in 33 Serie A appearances for Lazio and once in the Coppa Italia, disappointing considering his €20 million price tag.

In the summer transfer window the Kosovan forward was very close to re-joining Fenerbahce, but president Claudio Lotito did not approve of the move, wanting him to try and justify his expensive price tag.

Inter Duo Vidal & Sanchez Will Be Absent for Upcoming Match vs Lazio

This now doesn’t seem likely, and so Muriqi has told Fenerbahce coach Vitor Pereira that he wants to leave Lazio.

The Kosovan is contracted to the Roman club until 2025 and so the Turkish club would have to offer a loan with at least a buy option attached in order to close out a deal.
