There is now a four-way tie in terms of the players who have won the most trophies for Real Madrid during their careers. By winning the 2023/24 LALIGA EA SPORTS title, just a few months after securing the 2024 Spanish Super Cup, Nacho and Luka Modri have both now won 25 trophies with Los Blancos, the same as Karim Benzema and Marcelo.

For years, it was Paco Gento who stood out in front in the ranking of Real Madrid players with the most medals for the capital city institution, as Gento won 23 titles during his career with Los Blancos, which spanned from 1953 to 1971. But, that has changed in the past few years, as Marcelo lifted his 25th club trophy as Real Madrid captain in 2022, before Benzema did likewise ahead of his departure in the summer of 2023.

Now, there are two more players with 25 trophies won as Real Madrid players, as Nacho and Luka Modri have helped Carlo Ancelotti's squad to win the LALIGA EA SPORTS title with several weeks to spare. Both the Spaniard and the Croatian also featured in the 4-1 victory over FC Barcelona in this season's Spanish Super Cup final. And, they'll hope to finish this season lifting yet another trophy, their 26th with the club, if they can reach the Champions League final at Wembley and win yet another European Cup.

It would be the sixth Champions League title for each of these players. Interestingly, their list of trophies won with Real Madrid is the exact same. They have each won: four LALIGA EA SPORTS championships, two Copa del Rey titles, five Spanish Super Cups, five Champions League trophies, five Club World Cups and four UEFA Super Cups.

Although their paths to the Real Madrid first team were quite different, with Nacho coming through the academy whereas Modri was a high-profile signing from Tottenham, they both became members of the first-team squad at the same time. In the summer of 2012, when Modri arrived from Spurs, Jose Mourinho also promoted Nacho who had already made three appearances for the first team to the senior squad.

In the 12 years since then, the centre-back and the midfielder have won every trophy possible, and multiple times. In 2023/24, Nacho has been the club's main captain, while the Croatian is one of the vice-captains and has often worn the armband too.

At opposite ends of the pitch, they have used their skill and their leadership to make important contributions and to help Real Madrid win what is a 36th Spanish championship for the club. Across the LALIGA EA SPORTS season, Nacho has played in 25 matches and contributed to Ancelotti's side having the best defence in the competition, with 22 goals conceded in 34 matchdays. Meanwhile, Modri has made 29 appearances, scoring two goals and providing five assists, as well as providing much-needed urgency off the bench in several key moments. All of this has helped Real Madrid become champions of Spain once more.
