Former Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan had harsh words for Matteo Guendouzi and Lazio, insulting the former and questioning the latter.

The Biancocelesti failed to look particularly threatening in their Derby della Capitale clash with the Giallorossi last weekend, suffering a 1-0 loss after a first-half header from Gianluca Mancini, who later sparked drama by waving a flag with their rivals’ colours and a rat on it.

Lazio, under the guidance of Igor Tudor, will now look to close out the season in the best possible way as they work to evaluate the players ahead of the summer, needing to decide which to retain and which to replace for this new project.

Nainggolan rage

Speaking on the Twitch livestream Controcalcio via Calciomercato.com, Nainggolan expressed confusion at Tudor’s decision to leave Luis Alberto on the Lazio bench for the derby.

“I thought Lazio were really bad. Never mind that they recently changed coach, in a derby how can you leave Luis Alberto on the bench? How the f*ck do you can it? He’s the only player in that team who can put quality up front.”

The former Roma midfielder then turned his frustrations towards Guendouzi, laying the blame at the Frenchman’s feet.

“Guendouzi only knows how to run. For me he’s a p*ssy, I’ll say it like that. How do you sell someone like Milinkovic-Savic and replace him with someone like that? He’s not doing well, Lazio are doing badly.

“Tell me one quality about him. He’s not fast and those who do athletics must have resistance. For me he’s not for Lazio, between him and Duncan, I’d take the Fiorentina midfielder for life. He’s not strong, period. He’s a normal player.”

He suggested nobody could make the difference at Lazio.

“Lazio don’t have enough players who can make the difference. Today I wouldn’t put Isaksen ahead of even Nico Gonzalez of Fiorentina.”

Finally, Nainggolan gave his thoughts on Ciro Immobile’s position.

“I don’t like Immobile for his type of game, but he has been very important for Lazio in recent years. Immobile needs someone like Luis Alberto and you put him on the bench? If you let Castellanos play, which I don’t mind, you can make other choices in midfield.”
