Oliver Glasner was hired as the new manager of Crystal Palace on Monday evening.
His appointment was confirmed just under two hours after Palace announced that Roy Hodgson had vacated the role.
Glasner then watched from the stands as Palace drew 1-1 at Everton on Monday night.
Ray Lewington and Paddy McCarthy were in charge for that game but Glasner will be in the dugout at Selhurst Park on Saturday when Palace host Burnley.
Everton bossed Monday's match in terms of possession (63%) and shots (19-10) but Palace went ahead in the 66th minute when Jordan Ayew found the net from just outside of the 18-yard box.
Palace appeared to be heading towards a first Premier League clean sheet in 14 games until Amadou Onana headed home from a late Dwight McNeil corner kick.

Glasner, 49, began his managerial career with SV Ried in his native Austria in 2014, having previously made more than 500 league appearances for the club as a player.
He has since managed LASK, Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt.
His biggest success to date came in 2022 when he led Frankfurt to glory in the UEFA Europa League.
Glasner said in a club statement on Monday: "I am very happy to join Crystal Palace F.C. as manager.
"I am looking forward to working with the talented squad, meeting the club's supporters and experiencing the Selhurst Park atmosphere I have heard so much about."
