Dominik Szoboszlai has assisted TV and radio commentators in the Premier League by demonstrating how to correctly pronounce his name.

The 22-year-old is set to play a big role for Liverpool in the 2023/24 season after moving to Anfield in a £60 million transfer from RB Leipzig.

He posed for photos and videos while dressed in Liverpool's new home kit on Sunday, when it was revealed that he will wear the no.8 on the back of his shirt.

But what about the name that will be worn above that number?

How Do You Say Szoboszlai?

The Hungary midfielder was asked in a video published by Liverpool's social media team: "Dominik, can I just check how we say your name correctly?"

Szoboszlai responded by saying his surname twice, a little slower the second time.

He delivered three strong syllables: "Szo-bosz-lai".

According to HungarianPod101.com, in Hungarian "Sz" is pronounced like the "s" in the English word "pleasure".
