As the ongoing summer transfer window is nearing the midway point, Paris Saint-Germain officials are still waiting on just what forward Kylian Mbappe plans to do with his future at the club.

One recent report noted that Mbappe is set on staying with PSG past the transfer window, but he is still not prepared to commit to the club in the long term via a contract extension deal.

On PSG’s part, the club is showing well clear that it does not want Mbappe to leave the team anytime soon.

According to a report from the Spanish-based outlet AS (via Le10Sport), PSG officials recently offered the French forward a contract consisting of the same yearly salary deal (€37 million) that Neymar signed off on earlier this year.

Still, Mbappe elected not to take PSG’s latest offer, although club officials remain set on doing what it takes to have the forward stay put with the Ligue 1 giants.

PSG officials well want to come to terms with Mbappe on a new extension deal, but they remain on standby, waiting to hear from the forward on whether he would be open to such an agreement.
