Newcastle is very interested in the signature of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain whose contract is set to expire in the summer.

The English midfielder has struggled to make an impact since joining the Merseyside club from Arsenal in 2017.

The 29-year-old has had bad luck with a string of injuries throughout the past few years but even when was in the squad has failed to impress.

With only a few months left on his contract, everybody is expecting him to leave in the summer with a host of Premier League clubs showing interest.

These include Aston Villa and Brighton but the most prominent club is Newcastle.
