Tottenham Hotspur star Lucas Moura is set to leave the club when his contract expires this summer.

A report from Fichajes claims that Premier League clubs like Aston Villa and Newcastle United are ready to secure his services on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old Brazilian has been a useful player for Tottenham and he could prove to be a quality short-term acquisition for the two English clubs.

Aston Villa need to add more creativity and depth to their attack. Moura can play anywhere across the front three and he could prove to be a useful option for Unai Emery.

Aston Villa are currently pushing for european qualification and they will need a deeper squad to compete on all fronts. Signing the 30-year-old on a free transfer, could prove to be a bargain for the West Midlands club.

Similarly, Newcastle are well placed to secure Champions League qualification and they need to add more depth to their attack. The likes of Allan Saint-Maximin have been largely underwhelming this season and Moura could prove to be an upgrade.

The 30-year-old has played in the Champions League with Tottenham Hotspur and he helped them reach the final of the competition a few years ago. His versatility, technical ability and experience could make him an important member of the Newcastle dressing room next season.

The fact that the player is available on a free transfer makes the move a no-brainer and it remains to be seen which of the two clubs manage to convince the player to sign a contract with them.
