Newcastle United have been urged to replace Steve Bruce with AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho now their cash-rich Saudi owners have taken the reins.

For a club in the relegation zone of the Premier League, Newcastle are being linked with a HUGE amount of the world’s elite, both players and staff.

That is, as you will have heard, because the Magpies were purchased by a Saudi consortium and are now the richest football club on the planet.

All due respect to Steve Bruce, he is not the man that Newcastle fans will want to see leading the revolution on Tyneside – but Jose Mourinho may well be.

While Mourinho only joined AS Roma over the summer and is highly unlikely to leave, Danny Mills has urged Newcastle to pursue the managerial great.

He’s quoted by the Daily Mail saying:

“If you’re talking about being given money to build a team and be relatively successful, I’d go with Mourinho.”

“If you give Jose enough money and allow him to what he wants to do, he will guide you to success quicker than probably anyone else.”

“Newcastle can go slowly and survive this season, next season finish in the top half, then top six. But If they want to jump from survival to top four, I don’t see anyone better out there than Mourinho to do that.”

The circus around St. James’ Park is like nothing we have seen before. They’re the talk of the town right now – and you don’t imagine that’ll change anytime soon.
