Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar is being linked with a loan move to Chelsea.

Neymar, who joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in hope of forcing his way into Ballon D’Or contention out of Lionel Messi’s shadow, now finds himself playing alongside Messi once again at the Parc des Princes.

The Parisiens boast an all-star attack, which will also continue to include Kylian Mbappe, but you could argue that Neymar is the least effective of the three, especially when it comes to the big European nights.

With PSG’s upper brass desperate to win European’s premier club competition, sacrifices are going to have to be made. According to reports, Neymar could be one player who gets the boot as a consequence.

One potential exit avenue for Neymar could be to Stamford Bridge. Todo Fichajes report that the Brazilian moving to Chelsea, and reuniting with former manager Thomas Tuchel, has emerged as a legitimate possibility.

The report claims that any deal would initially be on loan, but regardless, it’d be quite the coup for the Boehly/Clearlake consortium who will be keen to reassure the fans they CAN follow Roman Abramovich.

The one/two-year loan would likely include an option to buy in the region of €50m [£43m]. Chelsea would have to be confident that Neymar would regain his best performance level – because he’s now the wrong side of 30.
