There is more at stake than simply access to the Coppa Italia Final this evening, as Atalanta or Fiorentina will join Juventus and Inter in the Supercoppa Italiana Final Four.

The first semi-final has already been completed, with Juventus eliminating Lazio 3-2 on aggregate.

This evening at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT), Atalanta try to overturn the 1-0 deficit against Fiorentina at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo.

Whoever wins the tie will face Juve in the Coppa Italia Final at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on May 15.

Coppa Italia guarantees Supercoppa access

However, that is not the only reward the team will receive, as simply being in the Final also means automatic access to the Supercoppa Italiana Final Four in 2024-25.

The new expanded format was tested for the first time this season, won by Inter ahead of Napoli, Fiorentina and Lazio.

The top two in Serie A and both finalists of the Coppa Italia compete in the tournament in Saudi Arabia next term.

According to Calcio e Finanza, reaching the Coppa Italia Final is therefore worth a total €5m for the losing team, €7.6m for the winners.

They also gain access to the Supercoppa, which is worth €1.6m for each semi-finalist, €5m for the losing finalist and €8m for the winners.
