One of Manchester City’s ideal signings summer signings is reportedly available this summer. A new report indicates that Bayern Munich is prepared to sell midfielder Joshua Kimmich this summer. If the report is correct, then Manchester City may have the opportunity to sign the ideal player to strengthen the world champions squad.

Pep Guardiola’s side has been desperate for reliable support for Rodri in the centre of midfield. City’s midfield general carries a heavy workload, and at times, it does appear that he needs support. Given how integral Rodri is to Manchester City, a player who can come in and support Rodri appears one of City’s major priorities this summer.

If you drew up a list of Manchester City’s ideal signings, Joshua Kimmich would be close to the top of the list. The German international could potentially come in and provide quality support for City’s most important players. With his experience and ability, he appears ideally suited to a role in the Manchester City squad. Another bonus is Kimmich has previously played under Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich. That, in theory, would make the adjustment period to the City’s managers’ demands a lot smoother than other signings.

A new report from Florian Plettenberg indicates that Manchester City may have a chance to sign Joshua Kimmich this summer. Plettenberg reported via his official X account that Bayern Munich is open to selling the midfielder. He further reports that Kimmich is open to a move this summer. Furthermore, Plettenberg adds that Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid, and Barcelona appear in the running for the German international.

One of Manchester City’s ideal signings now appears available this summer. It could potentially be a deal that the champions explore as they seek reliable support for Rodri this summer. Joshua Kimmich fits this bill perfectly, and they may make their move this summer in a bid to strengthen their squad.
