Duncan McGuire scored in the 92nd minute to rally Orlando City from a two-goal deficit to tie the host Columbus Crew 2-2 on Saturday.

McGuire, who entered in the 75th minute, pounced on a loose ball after a free kick for the equalizer to complement a goal by Ercan Kara in the 49th minute that pulled Orlando (4-4-3, 15 points) to within 2-1.

Pedro Gallese preserved the tie for Orlando in the 94th minute with a brilliant one-handed save on Isaiah Parente to deny Columbus (4-4-3, 15 points) a possible win.

Goals by Darlington Nagbe in the 39th minute and Jacen Russell-Rowe in the second minute of first-half stoppage time staked the Crew to the 2-0 lead.

Nagbe scored his first goal since last June 29 in an uncharacteristic manner for him. The defensive midfielder is known for his long-range scores and rarely ventures deep into the attack, but he made a run to the left post to receive a ball across the goal box by Alexandru Matan for the easy left-footed tap-in.

Russell-Rowe doubled the score to finish off a clinical pass from the right side by Mohamed Farsi. Russell-Rowe got inside position on his defender and made a sliding poke of the cross for his second goal.

Kara cut the deficit off the transition after a Crew turnover at midfield. Facundo Torres sent a through ball that Kara took in stride before ripping a shot from the top of the penalty area for his second goal of the season.

The Crew had a 3-1 lead nullified when Cucho Hernandez was ruled offside on his goal after video review in the 64th minute.

Lucas Zelarayan, who leads the Crew with four goals, did not play. No injury update was provided, and the Columbus Dispatch reported it was a lineup rotation decision with the Crew playing three matches in eight days, and seven games in the month of May, including two U.S. Open Cup contests.
