PAOK Thessaloniki have contacted Lazio to start discussing a possible deal for Marcos Antonio this month.

The Biancocelesti are open to letting the 23-year-old Brazilian talent leave after his relatively anonymous debut campaign in the Italian capital, where he struggled to stand out due to his poor physicality and lack of opportunities.

Marcos Antonio saw just 763 minutes of action across 22 total appearances and will likely struggle for consistent playing time in the coming season following the arrivals of Daichi Kamada and Nicolo Rovella.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, PAOK are now negotiating with Lazio for Marcos Antonio, looking to pick up the midfielder on a loan deal. No details have emerged yet regarding the formula or costs of the deal.

The Biancocelesti signed the 23-year-old from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer in a deal worth around €7.5m. He is contracted to the club until June 2027 and could still carve out a spot for himself in Maurizio Sarri’s squad in the coming years.
