Phil Foden has been an integral part of Manchester City’s recent era of dominance. Foden’s haul of silverware has seen him pick up five Premier League titles, four League Cups, two FA Cups, two Community Shields, a Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup. It is a spectacular haul for a player who is only 23 years of age.
Speaking during his pre-game press conference yesterday, Pep Guardiola believes Foden could become one of Manchester City’s greatest ever players. There can be little doubt of Phil Foden’s standing in the game currently. He has become one of the best players in the Premier League this season. At times, he has carried Manchester City on his back to maintain City’s chase for a Premier League/FA Cup double this campaign. With 24 goals and 10 assists so far, this campaign it has easily been the most productive season of Foden’s career. If he continues on his current career trajectory, he may well become the greatest player in Manchester City’s illustrious history.
