Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram has equalled a record that only Samuel Eto’o has managed for the Nerazzurri.

Like the legendary former Cameroonian international, Thuram is a very productive player in terms of both goals and assists.

This season, Thuram has looked like a complete forward for Inter. The Frenchman’s pace, skill, finishing, and eye for a pass have helped the team in many different ways.

There are even shades of the kind of striker Eto’o was when he joined from Barcelona.

Football statistics account Opta tweeted to highlight the record. They noted, “11+7 – Since 2004/05, Marcus Thuram (11 goals and seven assists) is the second Inter player to have scored more than 10 goals and provided more than five assists in his first #SerieA season with the Nerazzurri, after Samuel Eto’o (12+6 in 2009/10). Complete.”
