Former Reds Javier Hernandez and Wayne Rooney reunited in Los Angeles last night.

Hernandez, or “Chicharito”, posted a heartwarming caption attached to a picture of the pair taking a selfie. The Mexican currently plays for MLS side LA Galaxy, whilst Rooney manages DC United.

The forwards played together at Manchester United from 2010-2016, winning two Premier League titles throughout the period. They were beloved figures amongst the Old Trafford faithful.

Hernandez tweeted: “It’s great to see you again after all this time. Thanks for all the memories we shared on and off the field. Wish you nothing but the best!”

He added the caption: “#OnceARedAlwaysARed
