Earlier today, it was reported that the likes of Theo Hernandez, Franck Kessie and Pietro Pellegri will be available for the game against Torino on Tuesday. A big boost for AC Milan and above all Stefano Pioli.

As highlighted by MilanNews, considering the list of absences, any team would struggle as Milan have done. Mike Maignan, Hernandez, Kessie, Brahim Diaz and Ante Rebic, without forgetting Junior Messias, Alessandro Florenzi and Pellegri. In short, it wasn’t ideal last night.

It’s a question of substitutions that just aren’t there, severely lacking quality compared to the usual starters. And with such a tight schedule, rotation becomes a necessity and Pioli has somehow managed to work around it, but he cannot mask the crisis for much longer.

The aforementioned returns, therefore, have really come in handy for Pioli. Last season, Milan lost their gist due to several injuries and the risk of that happening against is evident. Fortunately, the team is stronger now and has thus managed to grind out the results, but it isn’t feasible in the long run.
