Harry Kane is set for a return to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The club today officially announced that a friendly game has been scheduled with Bayern as part of their preparations for next season.

The match will offer the Lilywhites the opportunity to reunite with Kane, who did not receive a proper farewell upon his departure.

Harry Kane set for Tottenham reunion

The club’s social media account on X confirmed that they will be facing Bayern in the Visit Malta Cup at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on August 10th.

Last summer, Spurs legend Kane departed for the German club in a record Bundesliga transfer deal worth £82 million.

During his time with the Lilywhites spanning over a decade, the England captain amassed an impressive 430 appearances, scoring an incredible 278 goals, and contributing with 64 assists.

Harry Kane has been in incredible form despite Bayern’s struggles

Kane has been in sensational form this season, scoring 37 goals and assisting 12 times in 35 appearances for Bayern across all competitions.

The former Tottenham striker leads the goal-scoring charts in Europe’s top 5 leagues this season, having scored 31 goals in 26 games in the German top flight.

Despite the 31-year-old’s brilliant campaign, Bayern faces the disappointment of potentially ending the season trophyless.

They have been eliminated in the 2nd round of the DFB-Pokal, lost the DFL Supercup, and currently sit 10 points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen in 2nd place.

While the German side is still in contention in the UEFA Champions League, they are scheduled to face Arsenal in the quarter-finals next month.

A recent report suggested that the former Spurs man is ‘unhappy‘ at Bayern amid their ongoing crisis.

Kane’s return to Spurs will give the fans an opportunity to give a proper farewell to their legend.
